Mother's Day Weekend

So time has gotten away from me, and it has been weeks since I have posted anything (actually as I look at a calendar it has been almost a month!); so today is catch-up with a couple of entries. I have been meaning to sit down and do this for the past couple of weeks, but again, something always seemed to come up and I would say "I'll get to it tomorrow"; well I'm glad to say that "tomorrow" finally has come.

The last picture we took was on May 5th right before our Moms came into town for Mother’s Day weekend. So in this picture I’m 21 weeks along. And as you can tell from the clothes selection for the day, very warm and it's only May. This isn't a good sign for things to come this summer, but I'm hoping that by then I will have adjusted to the warm weather rather than having 80 degree days pop up out of no where. From this point to the 10th when my Mom and Denise flew back to Washington the consensus was that I had grown even more. In all fairness, we are our way around Lake and Cook counties over those five days, so I wasn’t as convinced it was the baby growing and not just ME growing.

Mother’s Day weekend was so much fun. My Mom and Denise had started talking back in October about flying out together for Mother’s Day weekend. When they bought their tickets in December none of us knew that I was already pregnant. Unfortunately our wonderful Midwest Spring was in full effect, the week before the temps were in the 70’s and over Mother’s Day weekend we had rain, a snow flurry and sun.

Ronnie and his mom spent Saturday morning planting Dahlias in 31 degrees, and swore that they saw snowflakes fly. Of course that meant by Sunday we had sun and made it to 60 degrees. We were able to enjoy time outside in the back yard and had a relaxing day.

Grandma and Grandpa Yeager bought “Sven” a stroller, and Marley volunteered to test out the puppy storage area for us. He even was kind enough to sit in the stroller as I pushed it around the basement Sunday night. I don’t think it helps us to transition him from NOT being the center of attention, but it was fun. We all had a great time, and the fact that we were going to see each other again in three weeks made saying good-bye easier.

  1. That is the cutest pic of Marley boy! This is Ashley btw, I don't know why it shows this weird name for my posts.
