Late Post of Week 27 Appointment

Things have been a little crazy this month, and since Ronnie went into work this morning, I just realized that I could take time to give a couple more updates on how things are going. So the same day as my Glucose test I had my monthly OB appointment. Blood pressure good, weight...questionable. As soon as my doctor said we needed to discuss my weight gain (9 pounds in 4 weeks) I blurted out "I was in WA for 10 and had 2 baby showers...I ate a lot of cake and cookies." She laughed and made a note in my file that I was on vacation and had two baby showers. Now I'm watching my weight like a hawk so that I can't get in trouble on Friday when I go for my 30 week appointment.

On the 9th I had a dermatologist appointment to have the mole near my collarbone checked out. It had gotten darker since I've been pregnant, so the doctor wanted me to get it checked out just to be safe. Good thing we did, because it needs to be removed; the biopsy came back as early melanoma. So then last week I had my consultation with the surgeon who is going to remove the mole, and the appointment to have that done is Tuesday afternoon. So you can see that it has been a very busy month, with more doctor appointments than anticipated in a normal month.

All in all, things are going very well. Baby and I are both healthy and feeling great, though he decides to move around while I'm sitting in the car driving; which can make for some uncomfortable moments. I just got a call that Ronnie is on his way home from work, so I am going to sign off, but will post again next weekend on how all of the appointments this week go.
