Glucose Test

Well, today was that big day of the Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT); which tests for gestational diabetes. For all of those who warned me how yucky the orange sugar drink tastes, all I have to say is you are all LIARS!! Now, you may think I'm crazy, but to me it tasted like the "Orange Drink" we used to get at McDonalds. And I might add that I loved that "orange drink" at McDonalds. So for me it was a piece of cake to drink the 6 oz of the sugary mixture.

Also, proud to announce that the test came back just fine; no gestational diabetes. After the finger prick to get blood to do the test I did realize that I would not make a good diabetic anyway...I don't know if I could stab my own finger knowing how bad it was going to hurt. I do have a new respect for those of you who have to deal with this on a daily basis, you are stronger than I am!!
