Weekend in Milwaukee

This past weekend was Landon's first tailgate at Miller Park. The theme for the day?...Kugaritaville!!

500 of our closest friends had purchased tickets for the ball game and tailgate; which included an all you could eat taco bar, all you could drink beverage table and all the music you wanted to rock out to with a live band "Flashback". We had a blast! I stayed hydrated with Gatorade and good old H2O while Ronnie enjoyed the Miller Lite and Margaritas
The tailgate started at 3:00 and went right up until the start of the 6:10 game....that is....for those who made it into the game. Many forgot that even though we had a nice partly cloudy day, alcohol still takes its toll on your body. So I'm sure many never made it into the game. The mastermind of the tailgate had the same idea I did; he drank soda all day, but made sure the options were always flowing.
Ronnie took great care of me throughout the day, making sure I stayed hydrated and sat in the shade for a break. We visited with our friends Derek and Bre (her Dad is our Kugaritaville coordinator) and many of their friends. Ronnie got Bre and I fried cheese curds (yumm!) at the game, and then went 30 minutes later to get us both a water. Landon and I enjoyed a Jumbo Dog while watching the 6th inning, and then we headed back to our hotel after the 7th inning.

On Sunday Ronnie and I went to see Wicked for an early anniversary date. We had great seats in the side loge with really no one in front of us. The entire cast was fantastic, and we had so much fun seeing it together for a second time.
We had spent the morning walking the river walk after making a trip to Starbucks, and must have gone well over 2.5 miles before getting back to the hotel to lay down before the show. It was a fantastic weekend that felt like 5 days long. It was a perfect way to start out the last part of the third trimester.
