Yes, today finds me at 31 weeks 4 days and trying to deal with the heat and humidity. The heat index is currently 95, and I'm praying for the rain that is supposed to start so that things will cool down. Of course that will just mean another hot and steamy day tomorrow, but it will bring relief today! Needless to say, Mr. Marley and I are not going to enjoy a long walk this evening like we normally do.
My 30 week OB appointment went very well. I was measuring at 29 cm two Fridays ago, which means I'm right on track. The 32 week appointment is this Saturday, which will be interesting, because I don't know if Dr. Jacobson will do an external measurement only, or if she will also check my cervix. I'll know soon enough.
Last Saturday was the marathon of Childbirth Preparation classes. 8 hours of hospital policies, pregnancy anatomy, progression of labor, tour of the maternity floors, etc. But we both made it through; which means we can now have a baby I guess!?! In all fairness, there was some really good information that Ronnie and I came away with and both thought it was good, despite being long.
Last night was our Lamaze class, which was only 2 hours, and only had 4 couples attending; 3 of which were all in the Saturday class together, so we got a laugh when we were in the same room again. Edy gave us great information and techniques to use to get through labor "easier" by learning how to work with our bodies. Our homework is to practice for 20 minutes every evening so that it becomes a habit rather than something I have to think about.
Here's the most recent picture of me, in all of my pregnant glory, from Sunday:
